How to turn on the app and answers to common questions.

Turn on the app

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Go to Apps › Phone › Call Blocking & Identification.
  3. Turn on No, gracias.

The app's “Open Settings” button takes you straight there. Until you turn it on, 400 calls will reach you as usual.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between identify and block?

With identify, the call rings, but you'll see “Sales call (400)” (or the label you choose) on screen and decide whether to answer. With block, 400 calls don't ring or show up, and the caller never knows. With off, they come through like any other call.

«No, gracias» doesn't appear in Call Blocking & Identification

Wait a few seconds after installing the app and check again. If it still doesn't appear, restart your iPhone; as a last resort, delete and reinstall the app.

Why does it take a while the first time?

The app loads a million numbers into iOS (every number starting with 400). The first load in identify mode can take a few seconds, and the app shows its progress. After that, switching between identify and block is much faster.

Can I see which calls were blocked?

No. iOS doesn't tell apps which calls it blocks, and the app can't access your call history. If you'd rather know who called, use identify mode: 400 calls will show up with their label.

I still get sales calls from other numbers

The 400 rule applies to sales calls made in Spain. Calls from other countries, or from companies breaking the rules, can still use other numbers. Our guide to the 400 prefix explains what you can do.

How do I switch modes automatically?

You have three options:

Does it work with Silence Unknown Callers?

Yes. You can use both at the same time.

Does the app need the internet or see my calls?

No. Everything happens on your iPhone. Read the privacy policy.
